SUA Website History
In our first Reunion of Shiraz/Pahlavi University in the summer of 2001, in the city of San Diego the members elected a Board of 14 members. Dr. Nader Vadiee, a professor of the University of New Mexico as one of the newly elected Board Members volunteered to create a Website for Shiraz University Association. The SUA is indebted to Dr. Vadiee for the many hours that he dedicated to create the website. Mr. Payam Azarian, a SU alumnus and one of Dr. Vadiee’s students was also instrumental in the preparation of this colorful website. The SUA is thankful to Payam for his valuable work on the website and its maintenance for several years. Our thanks also go to Mr. Farbod Shafiei, another SU alumnus and a Ph.D. student in Physics at IUPUI in Indianapolis, IN, who worked on the website more recently and with the help of Mr. Azarian uploaded a large amount of materials onto the Website. Ms. Zohreh Amoozgar, a SU alumnus and a Graduate Student in Chemistry here at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana, spent a large number of hours typing nearly all of the materials in the website to be incorporated by Farbod, onto the website. A lot of thanks are due to Zohreh for her devotion and hard work.
I would like to particularly thank Mr. Reza Akbarpour who since the beginning of 2006, has spent tremendous number of hours uploading the old website and creating this new version of the website. This format has been organized in such a way that information can be obtained with greater ease and also allows us to have materials both in Farsi and English.
Mr. Akbarpour is a Physics graduate student at Ball State University and had done a superb job at helping us in this regard.
Finally, I would like to thank my nephew, Mr. Saeed Behforouz for drawing the beautiful SUA Logo that you see in the new format of the website.
Sincerely,
Mohammad Behforouz, Ph.D.
SUA Board President
